Ami and Amos got married on October 7th, 2010 at a very unique venue – the Metropolitan Building, in the heart of Long Island City. Most of Amos’s family traveled all the way from Israel to attend the wedding – and we thought the wedding was so beautiful and fun that it was definitely worth the trip :). Despite it being a very traditional Jewish wedding, every moment and detail was fresh and was done so sincerely and from the heart that nothing felt predictable, stiff or overly formal. Ami and Amos are a gorgeous couple and super fun to be around. Photographing them and their families was really fun and thouroughly entertaining :). We especially loved all the adorable kids, who provided us with countless cute and spontaneous moments throughout the evening. One of our favorite moments had to be Amos’s little niece, deciding to step into bigger shoes, quite literally! After watching everybody dance, she decided that she wanted a pair of heels just like the grown ups and demanded a pair that looked more like skies or snow shoes on her tiny frame :). For the next hour, she was proudly marching around in them.
Ami and Amos, we are so grateful that you made us feel like we were an organic part of your day by being so welcoming, accommodating and easy-going. Natalia and I feel like we have made new friends and hope that you will keep in touch! And – that we get to see Homer again sometime soon :).
