Karen + Kyle | Engagement | Central Park, NYC

When you are a wedding photographer, being surrounded by love is the obvious perk.  Aside from the obvious though, Natalia and I are lucky to meet some wonderful people with unique personalities.  Spending a few hours with Karen and Kyle was enjoyable and educational, because they are funny, super intelligent and chose some great spots for their engagement shoot.  We started off at the MoMA Museum and then made our way to the Conservatory Gardens at Central Park, which Natalia and I visited for the first time and we were blown away!  Despite being a little on the chilly side, the day was gorgeous and the blooms all around us, made it feel like we were shooting in some magical place within the New York City skyline.  Along the way, we discovered that Karen was a percussionist and loved playing in ensembles, especially jazz and hopes to get back to it one day (Natalia thinks you totally should!), that she is going to Germany soon for a really cool new job/internship and Kyle is taking some time off from work to go explore Europe with her (jealous….). We also think that Kyle should win a prize for most original proposal technique 🙂 – he  proposed with a custom  pop-up book that he designed!!! Enjoy the photos and be on the lookout for these two to make another appearance soon – their ceremony is later this month…
