Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!! We can’t think of a better wedding to share on our blog, then that of our dear friend, Laura. What a pleasure it was to photograph her special day. A year ago, Laura made a leap of faith and left New York City to start a new life in North Carolina, where she met Bryan and her life changed in many, great ways! It seems like just yesterday I was helping this lady move her belongings, including one of her favorite possessions, her upright piano, into a truck to make her move further South. Now that piano is standing in a different state, in a new home and she is sharing this home with a wonderful husband – what a year can bring :). Bryan is an awesome guy and Natalia and I are beyond thrilled for these two!!!!
The guys chose a very cool and unusual venue – a beautiful Bed and Breakfast that is a part of Goat farm :). We stayed here during the wedding weekend and weeks later are still missing the delicious goat cheese mashed potatoes, along with all the other fantastic food that is cooked exclusively with goat products – yum!
Bryan is a sergeant in the 82nd Airborne and we got to photograph our first military wedding! The wedding was filled with laughter, tears and swords :)!!! Bryan is about to be deployed to Afghanistan, so it was especially touching to capture the first day of Laura and Bryan’s life together as a married couple – this way, our wonderful Laura has our photos to keep her company, until Bryan comes back home.
Not really a planned part of the wedding but the farm had a whole family of cats that became a very visible and adorable part of the day 🙂
Could not decide if I prefer color or BW version better 🙂
Laura looked absolutely stunning on her wedding day! 🙂
