Marina and Stephan live in Jakarta, Indonesia but they love to travel, so what could be better then a NYC destination wedding :)!!! I loved Marina’s style and poise and Stephan’s wicked sense of humor 🙂
Being hired by Marina was a huge compliment, not only because it is always flattering to have a bride choose me as her photographer, amongst so many great professionals working today, but also because Marina is a wonderful photographer herself – and we photographers tend to be the biggest critics :). Check out Marina’s work at http://azoffoto.com.
It is always so special to be a part of a wedding, since it feels like I am both a part of the day, and at the same an outsider capturing intimate and special moments, that are private. It is especially rewarding to be a part of a day where the entire wedding party consists of 8 people, including the couple and…. me.
We did things a little backwards 😉 – wedding; portrait session; quick stop at the hotel to change, followed by an “engagement style” portrait session and as you will see a little further down, a day after portrait session. I know I mentioned Marina’s great style earlier and the fact that she chose an eye-popping cherry red top for both of her more casual looks, just proves my point! Ladies take note … bright colors look great in photos!!!
We explored a few more landmark NYC places the following day, including the New York Central Public Library, the Met Museum and Grand Central Station.
Marina & Stephan – Thank you so much for allowing me to capture your wonderful New York Wedding! Working with people such as yourselves always reminds me how much I love my job, and getting to explore my city with destination couples makes me appreciate this metropolis more and more each time! It was so lovely to meet you both and hope you will stay in touch!!!
