This was a very special wedding for us! These great guys and I became good friends pretty much immediately and started hanging out shortly after our first meeting.
Here are some fun and random facts about Ryan & LaMont – I will try to leave the embarrassing things out 😉
Ryan and Lamont met while attending Harvard and have been together ever since! LaMont is completing his last year of residency at the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. Ryan is finishing up his doctorate degree in Urban Education (so, yes… you can start referring to both of them as “Doctor” soon!). They have a dog and a cat – Morris & Toby. Ryan makes amazing pancakes (I still want that recipe!). And in general they are both fabulous cooks. LaMont is a passionate amateur pianist. They are both extremely intelligent, caring and have a great sense of humor 🙂
Their wedding was spectacular, with elements of tradition, adventure and straight-up, good time!
The ceremony was at the gorgeous Riverside Church that has an amazingly open minded and supportive congregation and staff, followed by a reception at the Harvard club – that looks just as decadent and stylish as you would expect :). And what’s a wedding without some galavanting around NYC, a huge elephant in the room and a Drag Queen! Admit it, now you are scrolling through the photos, looking for the Drag Queen …. and possibly the elephant ;).
Ryan & LaMont – I think by now you guys know just how much we loved being a part of your day and getting to know you two, but just in case you have been living under a rock, we love you two and can’t thank you enough!!!!! And this is the first time in the history of our wedding photography careers Natalia voluntarily chose a photo of herself to be included in the blog post…. that’s saying something! 😉 Can’t wait to see you both soon!
P.S: And if you somehow missed their engagement photos – Click here
The ring holders were used at Ryan’s family weddings for several generations!
The Riverside church has to be the most majestic NYC Cathedral and has the distinction of having the largest turned bell in the world
True New Yorkers take the subway to get to their wedding reception at the Harvard club 😉 – and they drag their family and wedding party with them 🙂
Quick stop at Times Square for an informal group photo 🙂
Here we go – the first dance was interrupted by a hilarious drag queen performance 🙂
LaMont’s Jewish coworkers felt no wedding would be complete without the Hora – it came as a total shock to LaMont and luckily for Ryan they did not find him in time 😉
And what can be the best transportation to the after party but the ricksha ride?
Wow!!!! Totally overwhelmed by how incredible these pictures are. You certainly outdid yourself!
And thanks for keeping the truly embarrassing pictures off the blog:-P
Fantastic
Beautiful!
