Vika + Misha | Wedding | Queens Farm Museum, NY

Today is a special day on our blog.  A day of several firsts!

1.  First time I (Natalia) photographed a wedding … without Alex!!!  Yep, you read that correctly.  Vika and Misha, who are wonderful friends of ours had their wedding on a day that Alex was already booked, so they hired me instead :).  And I am very grateful to them for giving me this opportunity to photograph their wedding all on my own.  This was an incredibly empowering experience.

2.  Its also the first time I get to write my own blog post.

No amount of words could possibly sum up just how kind, funny, witty and incredible these two people are.  And their wedding was certainly no exception.  I hope that the photos bring across at least a fraction of the spirit that was present that day – because boy, was there a lot of spirit!!!  Vika and Misha have a circle of exceptionally creative family and friends, so the day included lots of performances – both profound and outward hysterical.  And despite all the colorful personalities that gathered in the barn of the Queens Farm Museum that night – I couldn’t take my eyes off Vika and Misha all night long.  They truly were glowing with happiness and joy!  Congratulations you two – Thank you again for including me in your day!  I can’t wait to hear what you think of the photos and hope Alex gets to see some video footage one day – I am using that as an excuse to get to re-watch it myself :).  And now…everyone show me and these two beautiful people some love in the comments box.

Here it is:  My First Wedding!
